The 9 traits a player is rated on

Each is scored 1–10. The behaviours listed are what a coach is actually looking at — they print on the report so a family can read what the number meant.

    Hitting / Contact

    110 · technical

    Bat-to-ball ability, contact quality, barrel control, ability to handle different pitch locations and speeds, two-strike approach, and consistency against game-level pitching.

    Plate Discipline & Pitch Recognition

    110 · decision making

    Strike-zone awareness, pitch recognition, swing decisions, ability to identify breaking/off-speed pitches, patience, and controlling the at-bat.

  3. 03

    Power

    110 · physical

    Exit velocity, barrel rate, ability to drive the ball to all fields, gap power, home-run potential, and ability to generate power without sacrificing contact.

  4. 04

    Baserunning

    110 · tactical

    First-step quickness, reads, leads, stealing technique, turns at bases, aggressiveness, situational awareness, and ability to take extra bases.

  5. 05

    Fielding

    110 · technical

    First step, footwork, glove skills, range, body control, positioning, consistency, and ability to make routine and difficult plays.

  6. 06

    Throwing

    110 · technical

    Arm strength, accuracy, release speed, throwing mechanics, ability to make throws from different platforms, and accuracy under pressure.

  7. 07

    Game Awareness

    110 · tactical

    Understanding situations, outs, counts, defensive alignment, baserunners, cutoff responsibilities, and anticipation of the next play.

    Communication

    Defensive communication, calling balls, directing teammates, dugout communication, and ability to provide useful information during play.

  9. 09

    Competitive Motor

    110 · competitive

    Consistent preparation, focus, response to failure, hustle, willingness to compete through long games, and ability to stay engaged when not directly involved in the play.

Position groups

Some positions in baseball are not doing the same job, so they are not rated on the same things. Each group below replaces the trait set entirely. An player whose position does not map to a group falls back to the 9 traits above.
